Love Zimbabwe Collaborative Outreaches

sharing the Love of JEsus in Chinhoyi

The Global Network of Evangelists

A ministry of the Palau team brings you the Love Zimbabwe Collaborative Outreaches. These outreaches will take place in four towns (Chinhoyi, Kadoma, Gweru, and Bulawayo) with festivals taking place in Chinhoyi, Gweru, and Bulawayo. This is in collaboration with partner evangelists from around the world.

Chinhoyi Festival

Chinhoyi, Zimbabwe
April 3 – 6, 2025

chinhoyi praise report

What God did in Chinhoyi through the Love Zimbabwe Festival campaign was nothing short of remarkable. It marked the launch of a Gospel movement in Zimbabwe—not just in one town, but across a nation as we kickstart our work in the nation that will culminate with Andrew Palau in Harare in September this year.

Through the dedication of local churches, a committed steering committee locally, the creativity and dedication of GNE evangelists, and the unity of Christian leaders, we witnessed the Gospel being proclaimed with clarity, compassion, and power. Thank you for being a vital part of this story and for praying for our teams.

Campaign Reach and Impact

The combined training and evangelism phases of the Love Zimbabwe (Chinhoyi) campaign reached a staggering total of 228,009 people reached and impacted since the start of the campaign.

  • 83,318 were reached in person through the festival, school outreach, church services, and grassroots evangelism initiatives and training events.

  • An additional 145,549 were reached through radio and digital outreach, which included listener responses via SMS and WhatsApp, and live broadcast metrics from partner stations.

Together, these channels reflect a multi-platform Gospel advance—from village fields to digital feeds—offering wide access to the message of Jesus.

  • We recorded 25,394 documented decisions for Christ and

  • 410 recommitments, supported by

  • 2,481 local churches actively engaged in various stages of the campaign (nationwide number including other cities so far).

  • 77 GNE collaborators from 12 countries partnered together, including over 300 Zimbabwean volunteers mobilized by African Enterprise, serving faithfully at the grassroots level.

A United Church, A Bold Proclamation

One of the most extraordinary elements of this campaign was the level of national Church unity. As Pastor Mafukidze, Chairman of the Festival Steering Committee, noted:

“This festival was a collaborative effort of the Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe (EFZ), the Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC), the Zimbabwe Catholic Bishops Conference (ZCBC), the Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe (ACCZ), and the Union for Development of Apostolic and Zionist Churches (UDACIZA), in partnership with Palau’s Global Network of Evangelists (GNE).”

That unity created the foundation for everything that followed—a tangible answer to Jesus’ prayer in John 17:21: “That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

This visible unity became a powerful witness to the Gospel itself, reminding us that when the Church is united in Christ, the world takes notice—and lives are changed. Palau is committed to proclaiming the Good News, uniting the church and activating believers worldwide—because sharing this is the most loving thing we can do.

A Strong Foundation

Our impact in Chinhoyi didn’t begin on the stage—it started in living rooms, classrooms, and churches across the region. Long before the lights and sound checks, a different kind of preparation was underway: equipping the saints for the work of ministry (Eph. 4:12). Through a series of intentional gatherings—including the Leader & Pastor Launch, the Festival Launch, the RENEW gathering, and the Evangelism Masterclass—we saw more than 2,400+ leaders trained and inspired across eight key events. One highlight was the Evangelism Masterclass, where we equipped pastors and evangelists with GNE thumb drives packed with world-class resources from Palau’s Evangelist Network—videos, sermon outlines, Advance Guides, gospel tools, and digital outreach content designed to multiply impact long after the festival.

We also trained thousands of churches to mobilize their congregations and prepare for follow-up. Festival Worker Training sessions prepared volunteers to serve effectively on the ground, from counseling to hospitality. Now, we're launching Advance Groups in the region—creating ongoing peer-led communities of evangelists committed to growing together—and working with churches to begin Alpha as a discipleship follow-up. These are not just events—they are seeds of long-term Gospel transformation, which forms the basis of our vision at Palau. What we build now will continue to bear fruit in lives, churches, and communities across Zimbabwe.

One Message, Many Expressions

The Chinhoyi Festival, led by the amazing team from Palau’s Global Network of Evangelists, was an expression of our core conviction: while the Gospel never changes, how we share it must be creative, contextual, and compelling.

Jesus Himself modelled this in His ministry. He spoke in parables to connect with the everyday lives of His listeners (Mark 4:33–34). He engaged people at wells, in homes, on hillsides, and even from boats—always meeting people where they were with the message of the Kingdom. His method was never mechanical—it was always relational, responsive, and Spirit-led.

In the same way, here’s how we saw that same heart lived out in the streets, fields, and schoolyards of Chinhoyi:

  • Kubamba (Kenya) trained a brand-new Zimbabwean Hype Crew, who shared Jesus through dance, drama, and media

  • Al Johnson performed incredible soccer stunts and shared the Gospel boldly.

  • Ben Jack and Ace DJ’d unforgettable Gospel-centered sets that connected with many in Chinhoyi.

  • BMX riders from Brazil and South Africa turned crowds into captive audiences for Christ!

  • The Jesus Film in Shona and He Gets Us videos softened hearts with story-driven evangelism.

  • Local and international artists partnered to create an atmosphere of worship and witness.

  • African enterprise brought hundreds of ‘missioners’ to share the gospel home by home and in businesses and other spaces.

  • We hosted a women’s outreach business leader luncheon and spoke daily on radio in multiple spots.

This wasn’t entertainment—it was incarnational evangelism, reaching people with the message of Jesus in ways that resonated deeply.

Stories That Stay With Us

We’ve gathered a growing collection of short testimonies from pastors, volunteers, and new believers who were impacted during the festival week. They’re raw, powerful, and full of God’s grace.

One of the most powerful lessons from Jesus’ ministry is that He never worked alone. He called the twelve, sent out the seventy-two, and built His mission around community. Luis Palau often reminded us that “Great evangelistic impact is never the result of one person—but of many working together for one purpose.” This Festival lived out that legacy of team-driven evangelism.

On the ground in Zimbabwe, TJ, Walter, and Saliya were the hands and feet of our mission—executing with precision, care, and cultural wisdom. A special word of gratitude goes to Daniel Simon, who volunteered his time and talent to design and construct the BMX ramps and assist with festival production. His professionalism, creativity, and heart to serve made an unforgettable impact—offering a gift that no budget could have afforded.

The team lived out Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 3:9: “For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.” This festival was built not by individuals, but by a team—rooted in love, driven by faith, and united in mission.

This is only the beginning.
